Starehe MP Charles Njaguar who is known as Jaguar has been arrested over an alleged incitement.
He was taken to Nairobi Police Station although charges against him are still unclear.
The MP said in a tweet that he could be arrested because he was championing for fair allocation of stalls at the Mwariro market.
“I’m currently at Nairobi Area. The charges against me are unclear though they seem connected to Mwariro Market.
” I’ll keep fighting for my constituents. Being a leader is tough but my resolve remains unshaken. Allocations at Mwariro Market have to be fair,” Jaguar tweeted a few minutes after his arrest.
This is not the first time Jaguar is being arrested. In June 2019, the lawmaker was arrested over leading in a protest against foreigners dominating local Kenyan markets.
The MP said that he would lead the local traders in kicking out the foreigners who have dominated the local markets.
He was later released at sh500,000 bail.
