Ezekiel Mutua upgrades his office into a four-star hotel complete with modern bedroom and bathroom

When John Emerich Edward Dalberg-Acton remarked in his letter to an Anglican bishop way before he died in June 1902 that “Power tends to corrupt, and absolute power corrupts absolutely.” And that “Great men are almost always bad men…”, he did not in any way figure out that the likes of Ezekiel Mutua the Chief Executive Officer of Kenya Film Classification Board – KFCB would live to fulfill his philosophy.

When you see him picking wars on social media with socialites, songstresses like Akothee, and other upcoming artists you would think that Mr Ezekiel Mutua is a young guy who is for the good of the country. But hell no. A look at this morality police closely reveals a man that if retirement age is something the government of the day would be taking seriously then Ezekiel would be long gone and a more youthful person appointed to take over.

And while you think the man is more mature and would mind his personal morals as he does to Kenyans, then you are in for a rude shock. The man who has turned a state corporation into a personal entity has now “upgraded his office into a four-star hotel status” as a local media reports.

In his new ‘lounge’, office, he has installed a modern toilet and bathroom, and “a spacious bedroom to relax after a hard day’s work”. Mark you, he has young ladies in his office. The real reasons behind installation of the modern toilet, bathroom and a bedroom remains mystery even to staffers.

Remember the moral cop has a siren, bodyguards, media team, fleet of cars and walks with a huge delagation whenever he attends any event. The privileges this man has is only comparable to the governor, super CS Fred Matiang’i.

When you see him chasing artists you would think he is positive about it but the man is upto no good. See how he used dreaming words on sassy songstress Akothee.

“Kenya has got talent but as long as we keep celebrating this kind of madness, our entertainment industry will never grow. Akothee is talented but the filthy and stupids stunts she has to pull to remain relevant should concern all of us. What’s worse is to see grown-up men and women celebrating this scatological obscenity in the name of entertainment. We have lost it as a nation. People like Akothee cannot be the role models for our daughters. Music doesn’t have to be dirty to sell. How I wish artists like Akothee would know how much influence they have on our youths and try to use that influence to produce content that is edifying. This kind is crass, moronic and a theatre of the absurd. It’s demonic to the core and only appeals to debilitating and incorrigible perverts and brainless audiences. Akothee must stop this idiosyncrasy. There’s no dignity in for her or her audience,” he posted

If morality was anything to him then he would be the first person to obey the IG of police Hilary Mutyambai’s order on who should be using siren in their vehicles.

Ezekiel Mutua sins of 2006 at the Kenya Union of Journalists (KUJ) where he served as the Secretary General is something that has refused to go. The KUJ Awards fiasco of 2006, where prize money and television sets, meant for winners, did a disappearing act is something that will haunt him to death. He is also accused of switching the winners list and later fled the country after messing KUJ.

If integrity is anything in this country then the moral police Ezekiel Mutua would have not been entrusted by his current role.

Ezekiel Mutua has been selective of issues he is addressing. Right from East African Breweries; the manufacturer of condom brand, Durex; Coca Cola over their soft drink advert.

Why is Mutua now having a bed and modern bathroom in his office? What’s his motive really? Who will stop Ezekiel Mutua?
