Just last weekend, over 1000 used condoms were picked in the corners of Ngong hills where fleet of cars visited for what Nairobians termed as picnic.
With an entrance fee of less than sh500 per person paid through M-pesa paybill number to Kenya Wildlife Service officers manning the gate located way up the hill, not a single officer bothers to check what one carries in their bags, cars.
Unlike what happens in other public and open places such as Arboretum, national parks and Karura forest, no police patrol is evidenced in the vast hill. You can enjoy your whiskey, wine, other drinks or even sex without anyone bothering to disturb your peace.

There is no dustbins in the hill so all sorts of litters are littered all over.
Locals have reported this matter to the area police station. Part of the issues raised are dirty environment, loud music and unbecoming behaviours that they fear might expose younger to unwanted activities at the hill.
It is reported that police officers together with game rangers and forest guards to be deployed to ensure that merry-makers are adhering to government guidelines on the fight against COVID-19. Arrests will also be made.
