(Nakuru Senator Susan Kihika, Nakuru Town East MP David Gikaria and their supporters?)
President Uhuru Kenyatta has of late not sparing the Tangatanga adherents who have not heed his call to serve the people of Kenya instead of politicking all through. This was evident in his latest function in Nakuru where he issued a tough response to Nakuru senator Susan Kihika and Nakuru Town East MP David Gikaria after they were blocked from attending the President’s function in Nakuru.
The two were openly barred last week from attending the issuance of 40,000 title deeds to residents of Nakuru County by the head of state.
Ms Kihika who is a diehard supporter of deputy President William Ruto then took to her social media to complain why President Kenyatta blocked her together with her Tangatanga brigade from attending his function.
“Earlier today the area MP Hon Gikaria and I were refused entry into a PUBLIC function where the President will be issuing Title Deeds to the people of Nakuru County.
“We were informed that orders from above are that we cannot be allowed entry because we belong to an Unwanted Faction!
Meanwhile we are building bridges and uniting the nation” she posted
President Kenyatta in response told the two that, “This is a year for work. Those whose business is to use every opportunity to do politics should look for other gatherings to do so. We’ve been here for less than 30 minutes and we’ve finished our business here.”
He went on to say, “We want this to be the year of work. A year when we fulfill our promises to the people. Not every time to do politics as if there’s nothing else to do”
