It’s not in dispute that President Uhuru Kenyatta, in his second term, got the right choice for the ministry of foreign affairs and international trade by appointing one of the sharpest and brainy humans in the name of Ambassador Dr Monica Juma as the cabinet secretary.
Save for her turmoil in the first term of President Uhuru Kenyatta’s reign where the good doctor was removed from the ministry of Interior and Coordination of National Government after serving as Principal Secretary, the docket of foreign affairs has fit her well. Her stars have been rising every day, she is one human who can turn around all misfortunes around her and that of the country she loves, Kenya, to greater heights.
Even as she continues to make Kenya the go-to country, something is amiss with Prof Kagwanja’s spouse’s life. The ever jovial, well endowed with good body, skin complexion and natural hairstyle is now a pale of her former self. Though the voice, smile and her grasp of issues is still intact, her body is quickly wasting away.
What could be wasting away one of the sober brains President Kenyatta is currently having in his cabinet?
In August 2018, Amb Dr Monica Juma was part of Kenya’s delagation that went ahead to US to organize a meeting between President Donald Trump and President Uhuru Kenyatta. She was of good health and full of life. In the many bilateral talks Amb Robert Lighthizer, US Trade Representative (USTR), she ensured that US strengthened and deepened US-Kenya trade relations for the mutual prosperity of the people of the two countries. She also ensured the optimization on opportunities available under the AGOA as outlined in the recently launched National AGOA Strategy and action plan.
It is through her efforts that The USA is currently ranked 5th Kenya’s leading overall Trading Partner and 3rd leading Export destination.
Her recent public apearences paints a picture of someone going through life challenges if not sickness for it’s beyond the normal weight loss.
A close look at her interview with Ann Kiguta on K24 TV programme last evening shows that something is surely amiss with the brilliant ambassador.
