Kenyans react to costly dinner with televangelist TD Jakes at Nairobi summit

Strive Masiyiwa and American televangelist Thomas Dexter(TD) Jakes Sr, will grace a leadership and entrepreneurship summit in Nairobi Kenya as key speakers. The summit which will be running for three days has been organized by Kenya Commercial Bank (KCB) will be taking place at Kasarani Indoor Arena, Nairobi in September, this year. Other speakers include KCB CEO Joshua Oigara and head of Facebook Africa Nunu Ntshingilia.

The SOAR Africa leadership summit provides a platform where leaders and entrepreneurs have conversations on the economic progress of the continent. Most targeted are leaders in business, government, academia and key decision-makers from the public and private sector.

The charges are in three categories. The first category is for the ordinaries. It entails non-reserved sitting in the conference, two tea breaks, lunch, soft drinks and parking lot. This will cost you Sh25,000.

The second category is for the V.I.P. Here you will get a VIP treatment, soft drinks, two tea breaks and lunch all at the VIP section. Other advantages here include mingling with who and who and parking in VIP parking area. This will cost you Sh50,000.

The last category is for the VVIP which includes exclusive dinner with TD Jakes, Masihiwa and other guests at Kempinski Hotel. This comes at a cost of Sh75,000 only.

It’s these packages that has triggered reactions of Kenyans.
